OCEANSCAPE GROUP MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
& RISK DISCLOSURE

Oceanscape Group is a facilitator of medical tourism services.

We do not provide medical treatment, diagnosis, or advice. All medical procedures and consultations are carried out by licensed medical professionals and healthcare institutions accredited by the relevant authorities in Türkiye.

The information provided on this website and in our communications is for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as medical advice, nor is it intended to substitute consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. You should consult with your GP, specialist, or licensed healthcare provider before making decisions regarding any medical treatment or surgical procedure.

While we carefully select our medical partners and take reasonable steps to ensure quality and safety, Oceanscape Group cannot guarantee medical outcomes, nor do we accept responsibility for medical decisions, treatment results, or changes in your health condition arising from your chosen procedure.

By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer and accept that medical treatment decisions and risks are ultimately your responsibility.

If you have any concerns about your medical condition or suitability for treatment, please seek advice from a qualified healthcare provider in your home country.

Risk Disclosure

At Oceanscape Group, we believe in transparent, informed decision-making. We work exclusively with licensed, accredited medical professionals and hospitals; however, all medical procedures carry inherent risks, including those performed abroad.

By choosing to engage in medical tourism, you acknowledge and accept the following potential risks:

General Risks of Medical Tourism:

  • Travel-Related Risks: Including long-haul flight complications (e.g. deep vein thrombosis), missed connections, or travel delays during recovery.

  • Language or Cultural Differences: Although we provide translation and in-destination support, there may still be misunderstandings or differences in care expectations.

  • Variation in Medical Standards: While our partners are accredited, international standards and post-operative protocols may differ from your home country.

  • Follow-Up Limitations: Your post-operative care and emergency support may be limited once you return home. It's essential you have a local GP willing to support your recovery.

  • Complication Management: If complications occur, you may require further treatment or revision surgery, which may not be covered by standard travel insurance unless you’ve purchased dedicated complication cover.

Surgical & Medical Treatment Risks:

All surgical and medical procedures carry potential side effects or risks, such as:

  • Adverse reactions to anaesthesia

  • Infection or delayed healing

  • Scarring or dissatisfaction with aesthetic results

  • Blood clots or internal bleeding

  • Unexpected medical complications

  • Need for revision or corrective procedures

While our partners take all reasonable steps to reduce these risks, no procedure is without potential complications, and outcomes can never be guaranteed.

Your Responsibilities

It is your responsibility to:

  • Undergo pre-operative assessments and share full medical history truthfully;

  • Follow all pre- and post-operative instructions provided by your surgeon;

  • Ensure you have adequate insurance coverage (including for medical complications);

  • Have realistic expectations and understand that results vary by individual;

  • Organise appropriate aftercare and GP follow-up in your home country.

About Complication Insurance

While all efforts are made to ensure quality medical care, complications can still occur during or after surgery.

To safeguard your journey, Oceanscape Group facilitates access to certified complication insurance, which may cover:

  • Revision surgery if medically necessary

  • Extended hospitalisation costs

  • Additional diagnostics, care, or recovery time

  • Return travel if medically delayed

  •

This policy is offered through approved insurance brokers in Türkiye in accordance with Türkiye’s Ministry of Health (Decree 5448).

We strongly recommend you purchase this coverage as part of your treatment package. In some cases, it may be a required condition of booking with select hospitals.

Please speak with your coordinator during onboarding to confirm your eligibility and inclusions.

Final Note

Oceanscape Group is not a medical provider. We facilitate access to care through licensed, accredited professionals and support your journey with travel, logistics, and in-destination coordination. However, medical risk remains with the patient and provider.

We strongly recommend all clients speak with a licensed healthcare professional in New Zealand or Australia before confirming treatment abroad.
